What is Reiki?

Reiki pronounced (ray-kee) is an ancient healing method that was rediscovered at the turn of the century by a gentleman called Dr Mikao Usui in ancient Sanskrit texts after a long and dedicated quest.

Reiki, means 'free passage of life force energy' and is associated with the 'earth' element. It is a gentle hands on healing method that works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

What is Seichem

Seichem pronounced (say-keem), it is an Egyptian word referring to a person’s God-energy or spark of the creator that we each carry deep within our psyche. Khem was the ancient name for Egypt and Seichem was one of the healing arts practised in the temples long ago. It is referred to in the same sutras studied by Dr Mikao Usui when he re-discovered Reiki in the late 1800s.

Seichem includes all the elemental healing rays of fire, air, earth, water and spirit.

REIKI - corresponds to the element earth and is normally felt as warmth or coolness.

SAKARA - corresponds to the fire element that works on the electromagnetic field surrounding the body. It can be felt as a tingling sensation.

SOPHI-EL - corresponds to the water element, it helps the heart to open to love and feel compassion. It also enhances psychic awareness and increases intuitive abilities. It is felt as a gentle, pulsating coolness.

ANGELICLIGHT - is a two-fold ray that combines both the air and spirit elements. Air is associated with communication. So healing of both the throat chakra and the third eye is increased. As the name implies Angeliclight establishes a link with the angelic realms, facilitating contact with angels, guides and higher beings. It is usually felt as light, cool breezes.

All these elemental rays work individually or together depending on the needs of the person receiving the healing. They flow through the healer into the physical, mental and emotional bodies of the person being healed.

Reiki in no way conflicts with medical procedures, it can support and enhance all medical treatments.

How Does One Become a Reiki/Seichem Channel?

Reiki and Seichem is taught in three levels. To become a 'channel' or 'attuned', one must be attuned by a qualified Master/Teacher who will hold workshops that are conducted in a kind, caring and supportive environment. With each level of attunement you will be 'fine-tuned' to a higher energy.
